Tea is Medicine.

 

Tea as a drink, an experience, a way of life is in our opinion something of an introvert. Tea prefers listening to talking, reading to socializing, and intimate chats to group settings. It likes to think before it speaks, and when it does it is considerate of others' opinions. It doesn’t generally do public speaking and it doesn’t always live up to normal definitions of charismatic. Tea is incredibly simple, it is ultimately leaves, herbs, fruits and spices infusing their flavours and health giving properties into water. But hidden within is a deeper complexity, a wisdom and the potential to create space for healing. Hidden within is a whole universe and a multitude of experiences. Tea practices Zen and Zen drinks tea, the two forms are intimately connected.

Our vision when we created forleaves was to take those beautiful innate qualities, along with the customs and rituals of thousands of years of tea culture, and infuse it back into our very busy, sometimes disconnected, and often stressful modern lives. We believe tea to be medicine, and that with a mindful approach, the intention of ritual, fresh healthy teas and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, you can heal mind, body, and spirit.
